1000 Girls Campaign

This collective project aims to combat Gender Based Violence (GBV) and counter rape culture through education, fundraising and outreach.
The three merged organisations (#BoysforAction, Girl Up Johannesburg and The Unfiltered Youth) represent men, women, boys and girls. This partnership is a united effort to fight for equality for women, particularly refugees.
Amid the Corona epidemic and the related financial impact of lockdown regulations, a lack of funding for refugee girls has left young women in South Africa in desperate need of support. The goal is to raise R250 000 to provide 1000 Refugee girls with a reusable sanitary pad kit (from palesa pads) that is eco-friendly and lasts for up to 5 years.
